The Star Inn has been a public house for over 450 years and is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Waldron in East Sussex. Originally built as an Inn in 1550, it is steeped in history and has seen many changes during that time. The record of Owners & Licensees displayed in the bar, dates back to 1750 when Mrs Brown was then Landlady. The current Landlord is Paul Lefort, whose family took over the pub in 1982.
Waldron village boasts one of the oldest Cricket Clubs in known history, the 12th century All Saints Church, a 'jewel' amongst Sussex's churches, a Croquet Club, a well-supported Women’s Institute, the Waldron Community Players and the Lucas Memorial Hall where many village events are held. As an integral part of village life for many centuries, The Star Inn continues to be the heart of the community and is popular with locals and visitors alike, who come to enjoy the warm welcome and traditional country pub atmosphere.
